Preparing for Your First Visit

The caring begins with your first phone call. Knowing that pain relief is urgent, we’ll give you the earliest possible appointment and do whatever we can to make your initial visit shorter and more productive. We’ll offer you the choice of downloading, printing and completing a set of new patient forms, including the HIPPA privacy statement – or you can complete them in the office. And we’ll request that you bring any existing records to your appointment – doctors’ reports, MRIs, CT scans, EMGs and X-ray films, along with your insurance card. Or you can fax or email the documents beforehand.

Arriving for Your Appointment

Checking in: When you enter any our offices, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our staff and your pre-completed forms will be checked. (Unless you sent them beforehand, or prefer to complete them in the office.)

Remember to bring any existing records – doctors’ reports, MRIs, CT scans, EMGs and X-ray films, along with your insurance card.

Learning about your pain condition: We want to know as much as possible about you, your overall health and your current pain. We’ll record your background information and conduct an in-depth staff interview.

Meeting with Dr. Bram: After your file is reviewed by Dr. Bram, he’ll follow up with a focused and detailed physical examination. It’s possible he may prescribe additional testing.

Customizing a treatment plan: Dr. Bram will develop and recommend a course of treatment tailored to your specific pain and personal needs.

Dr. Bram will describe and discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan and he will address any questions or concerns you may have at the moment. He will also be available for any future discussion.
